Sen. Binay seeking Makati mayoralty post

Metro Manila, Philippines – Senator Nancy Binay has given a hint that she will run for mayor of Makati in the midterm elections.

In a social media post on Sunday, Sept. 8, Binay posted a collage of her photos with what seems to be residents of Makati.

She captioned it with: “Ready to serve ... #Makati2025”

Last month, Binay was asked if she would run for the city’s top post. She replied, “most likely.”

The senator is in her final term, serving in the upper chamber since 2013.

Her sister, Abby Binay, is the incumbent mayor of Makati.
