MCX toll hike begins Nov. 20
Metro Manila, Philippines – Motorists taking the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) would have to pay more beginning Wednesday, Nov. 20, the Toll Regulatory Board said.
The fee hike would be P3 for Class 1 vehicles like jeepneys and cars, P4 for Class 2 (light trucks, buses, etc.) and P7 for Class 3 (dump trucks, 10-wheel wing vans, among others)
This means new toll rates would be as follows:
+ Class 1: P22
+ Class 2: P43
+ Class 3: P65
The TRB said it authorized the collection of the provisionally approved toll for the MCX, in relation to the 2022 petition for periodic adjustment filed by the Ayala Corporation and the MCX Project Company Inc.
The Villar-led group Prime Asset Ventures Inc. acquired MCX from Ayala Corporation in 2023.
