‘NewsWatch Now’ among Trendrod’s Best Shows in 2024

Metro Manila, Philippines - NewsWatch Plus’ 15-minute digital newscast “NewsWatch Now” is among TrendRod’s top 40 TV programs in the Philippines in 2024 - marking a remarkable achievement less than a year since its debut.

The show, anchored by Menchu Macapagal, ranked 13th in the list.

TrendRod is an online outfit, which describes itself as the “home of stories you like to follow in entertainment, lifestyle, news, business, technology, and sports.”

“The launch of ‘Newswatch Now’ and the entire Newswatch Plus organization in general is a welcome development in the Philippine news scene. The short runtime for its flagship newscast is also a smart move, especially considering its digital-first nature and having to contend with the shorter attention span of audiences online,” it wrote.

NewsWatch Now debuted in July, airing from Mondays to Fridays.

Viewers can also catch it on free TV via Aliw Channel 23 from Mondays to Thursdays.
