Metro Manila, Philippines – Wanted religious leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy has not yet left the Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound, Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos said on Saturday, Sept. 7.

In a news forum, Abalos said he received “good developments” on the whereabouts of Quiboloy but refused to give further details.

“Our intel report is nandoon po siya,” said Abalos.

The Justice Department also believes that Quiboloy is still in the country, citing an outstanding hold departure order against him.

“Sa tingin ho natin, dahil napaka-high profile din naman nitong si Pastor Quiboloy, he would have to go through immigration personnel. And there is no information yet that he had gone through any immigration process so we assume that he is still here in the country,” Justice Spokesperson Mico Clavano said in the forum.

Police forces have been attempting to serve the arrest warrant to Quiboloy since Aug. 24.

The wanted pastor is facing charges related to human trafficking, sexual and child abuse, among others.

He is also wanted by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation for labor and sex crimes.
