Fashion designer Michael Cinco among Miss Universe selection committee

Metro Manila, Philippines— Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco will be part of the selection committee for the 73rd Miss Universe competition in Mexico.

The Miss Universe Organization said Cinco will bring his fashion expertise to the competition.

“Elegance and beauty will reign supreme,” the group said.

Cinco is based in Dubai and is known for his couture gowns. He achieved luxury status through his creativity and masterful techniques.

Miss Universe Philippines Chelsea Manalo has arrived in Mexico ahead of the 73rd Miss Universe competition.

Manalo donned a golden modern Filipiniana by Cary Santiago upon her arrival at Mexico’s Aeropuerto Internacional.

“HOLA, MEXICO! Our Queen, Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo has touched down and is ready to take on the Universe,” the Miss Universe Philippines Organization said in a statement.

Manalo said that she is excited to meet her fellow beauty queens and the organization.

“I couldn’t sleep because I was so excited to go here,” she said. “I hope that you continue to do this until we get to the finals and we get that next crown,” said Manalo.

Manalo is vying for the country’s fifth Miss Universe crown.
