Jorick Bautista delivers another clutch performance for the FEU Tamaraws in UAAP Season 87 men's basketball.

Metro Manila, Philippines — The Far Eastern University Tamaraws defeated the National University Bulldogs, 65-58, in their second round clash in UAAP Season 87 men's basketball on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Mohamed Konateh led the Tamaraws with 22 points and 13 rebounds.

With the game still hanging in the balance, Jorick Bautista knocked down a clutch triple to give FEU more breathing room with 9.7 seconds left in the contest.

Prior to Bautista's three-pointer, Royce Alforque sank crucial buckets to help the Tamaraws maintain their edge.

“I don’t want to sound like a broken record but like I said a couple weeks back, this second round will be a lot different for us. We’re getting comfortable and acclimated. We’re understating our goals and our game plans,” FEU head coach Sean Chambers said in a press conference.

The Tamaraws improved to 3-6 in the team standings, while the Bulldogs fell at 2-7.

Jolo Manansala and PJ Palacielo paced NU with 11 points and 10 points, respectively.

FEU will have quite some time to rest as its next game is against the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers on Oct. 27 at the MOA Arena.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs will face the dangerous University of the East Red Warriors on Oct. 26 at the same venue.
