As we celebrate our millennial tita cover star, Tita G, we’re reminded of the fun and fabulousness our favorite titas bring—especially with their “Titas of (Insert Place Here)” squads. In their honor, here are five hilarious movies about girl squads and barkadas that celebrate female friendship across different ages:

1. Bridesmaids

A modern comedy classic, Bridesmaids stars some of the funniest women in Hollywood, including Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, and Melissa McCarthy. When Lillian (Rudolph) asks Annie (Wiig) to be her maid of honor, Annie meets the bridesmaids to plan the bachelorette party and wedding events. What follows is a series of ridiculously funny misadventures (most notably during a dress fitting) that truly bond these women in a special way.

2. Road Trip

Road Trip features four well-known Filipino actresses—Janice de Belen, Gelli de Belen, Carmina Villarroel, and Candy Pangilinan. The film follows their characters on a road trip to attend the wake of a friend. Each woman brings her own set of problems to the trip, leading to some entertaining clashes, but ultimately, the movie celebrates Filipino female friendship—a theme rarely explored in local cinema.

3. Girls Trip

Based on real-life experiences of female friendship, Girls Trip stars Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett Smith, Tiffany Haddish, and Queen Latifah in this hysterical comedy about four college friends who go on a trip to New Orleans to reconnect. Girls Trip is vulgar and bold in the best way possible, but at its core, it showcases the strength women draw from their chosen sisters.

4. Wine Country

What group of titas would turn down a birthday weekend in Napa Valley, where the main agenda is drinking wine? In Wine Country, a group of lifelong female friends head to Napa to celebrate a birthday. Starring comedians and real-life friends Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph, and Tina Fey, this entertaining comedy toasts the joy that comes from simply hanging out and having a drink with friends.

5. The First Wives Club

Starring Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn, and Diane Keaton as three divorced women banding together to seek revenge on their ex-husbands for leaving them for younger women, The First Wives Club is one of the most beloved “girl squad” comedies ever. The film captures what it means to rely on your closest friends and the importance of sisterhood during life’s hardships. After all, what’s better than cheering each other up with a joyous musical number?
