1. QCinema International Film Festival

The QCinema International Film Festival returns for its 12th edition, featuring the best in local and international cinema. For the first time, it opens with a short film program highlighting works by Southeast Asian filmmakers that premiered at Cannes. The festival will also be holding the Philippine premieres of award contenders Anora and The Room Next Door among many others.

2. Hello, Love, Again

Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo reunite for a sequel to their 2019 romantic drama Hello, Love, Goodbye, which at the time of its release became the highest grossing Philippine film in history. Set five years after the first film, Hello, Love, Again finds Joy (Bernardo) and Ethan (Richards) rediscovering each other while living their new lives in Canada.

3. Wicked

The iconic Broadway musical Wicked finally gets its cinematic adaptation, with a two-part film. Directed by Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians), Wicked takes place in the Land of Oz featuring younger versions of the Wicked Witch of the West and other Wizard of Oz characters before Dorothy arrives. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande star as witches Elphaba and Galinda, with an A-list supporting cast that includes Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Jonathan Bailey, and Peter Dinklage.

4. Blitz

George, a young boy living in London with his mother, finds himself alone and in danger amidst World War II in Academy Award winner Steve McQueen’s latest film, Blitz. Four-time Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan stars as George’s mother who sets out to look for him during the Blitz, an historic event where German forces continually bombed the city of London for eight months. The war drama premiered at the London Film Festival and makes its streaming debut on Apple TV+.
Streaming on Apple TV+ starting November 22.

5. Moana 2

Set sail once more with Moana and Maui as they go on their next voyage in this highly-anticipated sequel to the 2016 Disney film Moana. Taking place three years after the first film, Moana 2 finds our heroine Moana, the demigod Maui, and a new wayfinding crew braving the ocean once more after being called to break a curse on a mysterious, hidden island far from their home. New dangers – and new songs – await the crew in this brand new seafaring adventure.
