Metro Manila, Philippines - Two people were killed while 10 others were injured after a drunk driver struck a group of pedestrians participating in a religious procession in Bacolod City on Good Friday.

According to a Philippine Red Cross report, the accident occurred at around 7:32 p.m. in Purok Bantug, Brgy. Alangilan.

“The driver, reportedly an Indian national, is alleged to have been intoxicated at the time of the incident,” the report added.

Among those injured was the driver who was treated on-site. The other wounded individuals were sent to Metro Bacolod Hospital.
