Metro Manila, Philippines - A party-list lawmaker topped a recent voter preference poll, while administration senatorial aspirants dominated the so-called Magic 12, based on a commissioner survey of the Social Weather Stations.

The survey, commissioned by consultancy group Stratbase ADR Institute for Strategic and International Studies and released Thursday, Jan. 30, showed 45 percent of registered voters chose Tulfo. He was followed by former Senator Vicente Sotto III at 31 percent.

Senators Bong Go and Lito Lapid tied at third to fourth rank at 32 percent and 23 percent, respectively.

Rank 11-13 - Senator Bong Revilla

Rank 11-13 - television host Willie Revillame

Rank 11-13 - former Senator Kiko Pangilinan

Tulfo, Sotto, Lapid, Binay, Cayetano, Lacson, Pacquiao, and Revilla are part of the administration’s Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas slate.

Pangilinan is the lone opposition bet in the Magic 12.

The survey was conducted among 1,800 registered voters nationwide on Jan. 17 to 20. The error margin is ±2.31 percent.
