Blacklist International announces departure of MLBB men's team
Metro Manila, Philippines — Blacklist International, an esports organization under Tier One Entertainment, announced on Tuesday the exit of its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) men's team, marking the end of a five-year journey.
The team will not be competing in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 15 as the organization decided to transfer its franchise ownership to a new group.
“Though we believe in the future of the MLBB community, with a heavy heart, we bid a bittersweet farewell to the Blacklist MLBB men’s team, as the organization has decided to transfer our MPL Franchise Ownership to a new organization for MPL season 15,” Blacklist International said in a social media post.
“This difficult decision was made in response to the business opportunity that was presented to us which aligns with the new direction of Tier One Entertainment to go beyond Esports,” it added.
Blacklist International has won three MPL-PH titles, one Southeast Asian Games gold medal, and one world title.
The team's success not only solidified their status as one of the best ever but also played a vital role in establishing the country as a force to be reckoned with on the global stage.
