5 localities to have holiday in October
Metro Manila, Philippines – Five localities in the country will have special non-working days in October.
According to the Presidential Communications Office on Sunday, Sept. 29, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has issued proclamations on the matter, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
The time off will allow residents in the localities to celebrate either their foundation, festival, or commemorate an event.
The localities that will have holidays based on the proclamations are as follows:
+ Infanta, Pangasinan (Oct. 4) - Proclamation 693 (Celebration of 148th founding anniversary)
+ Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur (Oct. 16) - Proclamation 694 (Celebration of 67th founding anniversary)
+ Negros Oriental (Oct. 25) - Proclamation 695 (Celebration of the Buglasan Festival)
+ Angeles City, Pampanga (Oct. 26) - Proclamation 696 (Celebration of the Tigtigan Terakan Keng Dalan Festival)
+ Dingle, Iloilo (Oct. 28) - Proclamation 697 (Commemoration of Cry of Lincud)
