Metro Manila, Philippines – Former Kabataan party-list Rep. Sarah Elago is seeking a comeback, this time for Gabriela Women’s Party-list in the forthcoming 2025 elections.

The women’s group unveiled its list of candidates for the midterm elections in a national convention on Tuesday, Sept. 24, naming Elago as first nominee.

The party-list is currently represented by Arlene Brosas, who is seeking a Senate seat.

In a speech, Elago said she will continue to advocate for women’s rights, decent jobs and wages, and genuine agrarian reform.

[Translation: Our fight is not yet over and we have a long way to go… Our history of victories is long, as is our history of struggle, and that serves as our inspiration to create even more history for the next generation of Filipinos]
