Metro Manila, Philippines – Tropical Depression Gener and Tropical Storm Helen are now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the weather bureau said on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Gener was last spotted 795 kilometers west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur.

Meanwhile, Helen was located at 930 kilometers east northeast of extreme Northern Luzon at 4 p.m.

PAGASA said Gener and Helen intensified the southwest monsoon.

Gusts from the southwest monsoon are expected over Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon), Mimaropa (Mindoro Provinces, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan), Bicol Region, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region.
