Metro Manila, Philippines – P-pop girl group BINI and rock band Lola Amour emerged as standout winners at the latest edition of the prestigious Awit Awards.

The ‘nation’s girl group’ bagged four accolades including the favorite group artist and favorite record of the year for its hit song, “Pantropiko.”

The group’s “Karera” was also recognized as the favorite music video of the year.

Meanwhile, Lola Amour took home top prizes including the song of the year and the best pop recording for “Raining in Manila.”

Pop star Sarah Geronimo was recognized as the favorite solo artist. Her single with Rivermaya star Bamboo, “Treading Water,” was hailed as the favorite collaboration.

P-pop king SB19 secured major prizes as well, such as the best dance and electric recording and best performance by a group for its 2023 hit, “Gento.” The group’s member, Josh Cullen, also won best music video of the year for his song, “Wild Tonight.”

The 37th Awit Awards was held on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the Music Museum in San Juan City.
