Kevin Quiambao mum on future after heartbreaking UAAP finals loss
Metro Manila, Philippines — Where is Kevin Quiambao going?
After falling short in their UAAP two-peat title bid, the De La Salle University Green Archers superstar remained mum on his next career move.
The Green Archers bowed to the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons in Game 3 of the Season 87 finals in front of a record-breaking 25,248 crowd on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Quiambao, the reigning back-to-back season Most Valuable Player, was limited to 36.4 percent shooting from the field to finish the match with 13 points and four rebounds.
Amid reports that he is bound to play professionally in South Korea, the La Salle forward stressed that there is no concrete plan as of the moment.
“I’ll take a break for now. I think I have until this December to rest. I don’t know what’s next, I’ll just rest first,” he told reporters minutes after their loss.
“For now, I don't want to think about it. I just want to rest because I’ve been playing basketball non-stop for eight months,” he added.
Even with his future with the Green Archers still uncertain, Quiambao said he is pleased with what the team accomplished this season.
“I’m so proud because we made it to the finals and reached a deciding Game Three. It’s a surreal feeling for me and the whole team,” he said.
“Medyo kinapos, pero babawi sila,” he said.

La Salle will have new and exciting players next season with transferees Mason Amos, Jacob Cortez, Kean Baclaan, and Luis Pablo bolstering the Taft-based squad.
“I don’t know if we'll be teammates but for sure they will be scary next season,” Quiambao said.
