Metro Manila, Philippines — Two days before the start of the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup, reigning champions San Miguel Beermen have sent Terrence Romeo and Vic Manuel to the Terrafirma Dyip.

In exchange, the Beermen have acquired Juami Tiongson and Andreas Cahilig from the Dyip.

The deal was approved by the PBA Commissioner's Cup on Monday.

Romeo and Manuel were part of San Miguel's title run in the same conference last season. The two played vital roles in the Beermen's second unit.

Tiongson, who is a former PBA Most Improved Player, has been on a meteoric rise as a reliable floor general.

Meanwhile, Cahilig could produce decent numbers when given the opportunity.

San Miguel will begin its title defense bid against the Phoenix Fuel Masters on Dec. 3 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.

Terrafirma will face the Converge FiberXers in the midseason’s curtain raiser on Nov. 27 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
