13 reported dead due to past three cyclones - NDRRMC
Metro Manila, Philippines – Thirteen people were reported dead due to the last three cyclones that hit the Philippines, government data showed on Sunday, Nov. 24.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said seven deaths came from the Cagayan Valley, while other casualties were recorded in the Cordillera region and Central Luzon.
15 people were injured, while 3 others remain missing.
Around 4.2 million people were affected, equivalent to 1.1 million families.
Data showed 35 municipalities had declared a state of calamity due to cyclones ‘Nika’, ‘Ofel’, and ‘Pepito’.
The NDRRMC said infrastructure damages reached P2.8 billion, while agricultural losses were pegged at over P784 million.
