Metro Manila, Philippines — Filipino fans and local celebrities had the chance to warmly welcome singer Olivia Rodrigo during the Manila leg of her "Guts" concert on Saturday, Oct. 5, in what the Filipino-American said was her biggest show yet.

Fondly called by Filipino fans as “pinsan” or cousin, Rodrigo rocked the stage at the Philippine Arena, performing her hits from her two albums "GUTS" and "SOUR" in front of 55,000 fans.

The 21-year-old pop star's night on Philippine soil was no ordinary show as it only sold “Silver Star” tickets worth P1,500 in random seating, to Filipino Livies, the nickname of her fans. Ticket proceeds would go to her "Fund 4 Good" initiative for women's reproductive health rights.

Among the celebrities present was former Going Bulilit star Sharlene San Pedro, who jokingly posted a photo where she was seen squinting to catch a glimpse of Rodrigo on stage.

She was seated at the upper box of the Philippine Arena, something that concertgoers would not primarily pick given the chance (if you know, you know).

“that was insaneeeee,” dancer and content creator Niana Guerrero wrote on X (formerly Twitter), followed by crying and purple heart emojis.

Meanwhile, Zia, the daughter of actors Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, could not contain her joy when the singer seemingly waved at her while entertaining concertgoers with "logical."

"Mama, she looked at me," the 8-year-old Zia said, as seen in a video posted by Rivera on Instagram.

"Kung saan ka masaya, Anak, nandito lang kami para suportahan ka [We support you, Zia, in what makes you happy]!" the actress wrote, also thanking Rodrigo in the caption for giving her daughter a night to remember.

Actor Elijah Canlas had an emotional night as well. He shared that he brought a picture of his late youngest brother JM, who was a fan of the singer, when he watched the concert.

JM died at the age of 17 in August 2023.

"He (JM) made me promise to take him to an Olivia Rodrigo concert someday," Canlas wrote in an Instagram story.

"Kahit mag-isa lang ako kanina at may konting buhos ng luha, ramdam kitang sumasabay sa bawat kanta, nakangiting tumatalon, at tunay na maligaya [Even if I was alone and shed some tears, I felt that you were singing along, jumping up and down, and truly happy]. Hope you had fun," he added.

Actress Andrea Brillantes, on the other hand, saw Rodrigo almost face to face. She shared that she was the first one to line up in her respective queue.

"Kaya ako lang tao nandun [because] I lined up very early for it. It wasn't VIP treatment or anything magical," she explained in an Instagram story as some fans criticized her on social media.

The "Guts" World Tour will proceed to Australia for the rest of October.

Rodrigo will have a South America leg by March 2025.

The "Guts" World Tour documentary will stream on Netflix, Oct. 29.
