Another Gatchalian to try hand at politics

Metro Manila, Philippines — Businessman Kenneth Gatchalian is eyeing to enter the political arena through district representation.

He is the brother of Sen. Win Gatchalian, reelectionist Valenzuela Mayor Wes Gatchalian, and Social Welfare Secretary Rex Gatchalian.

Kenneth, 48, lodged his certificate of candidacy on Sunday, Oct. 6, seeking to get hold of Valenzuela's first district for the 2025 elections under the Nationalist People's Coalition.

Wes filed his COC for mayoralty on the same day.

Kenneth is the president and director of the Wellex Industries Inc. and a member of the board of directors of the Wellex Group. Business interests included hotel, real estate development, oil, mining, aviation, trading, and banking.
