Metro Manila, Philippines - In preparation for the All Saints’ holidays, the Manila local government has released new road routes and parking guidelines to ensure smooth traffic flow for those visiting the Manila North cemetery.

The closures will be effective from 12:01 AM on October 30 to 7 PM on November 3, 2024, to accommodate the influx of visitors observing All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.

The following streets will be closed to traffic during this period:

1, Aurora Blvd. - From Dimasalang Rd. to Rizal Ave.

2. Blumentritt Rd. - From A. Bonifacio Rd. to P. Guevarra St.

3. Retiro St. - From Dimasalang Rd. to Blumentritt Ext.

4. Maceda St. - From Makiling St. to Dimasalang Rd.

5. Dimasalang Rd. - From Makiling St. to Blumentritt Rd.

6. P. Guevarra St. - From Cavite St. to Aurora Blvd.

For motorists needing to navigate around these closures, the following have been mapped as alternative routes:

1. For La Loma and Chinese Cemeteries: Take Rizal Ave. or J. Abad Santos Ave. for entry and exit.

2. Vehicles on Blumentritt Rd.: Turn left or right onto Cavite St. and proceed to Leonor Rivera St. toward your destination.

3. Trailer Trucks/Heavy Vehicles on A.H. Lacson Ave.: Continue straight on Yuseco St. to the point of destination and vice versa.

4. Vehicles on Dimasalang Rd.: Turn right on Makiling St. and proceed along Blumentritt Ext. to reach your destination.

Due to restricted access to Manila North Cemetery for private vehicles, designated parking areas are provided at the following locations:

1. P. Guevarra St. - From Blumentritt Rd. to Aurora Blvd.

2. F Huertas St. - From Blumentritt Rd. to Aurora Blvd.

3. Oroquieta St. - From Blumentritt Rd. to Aurora Blvd.

4. Simoun St. - From Dimasalang Rd. to Blumentritt St.

The Manila North Cemetery will be open daily from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Sunday, November 3. During this period, vehicle entry into the cemetery will be prohibited, and all burials and cremations will be temporarily suspended.
