Metro Manila, Philippines — All is not lost for Adamson University as the Soaring Falcons took down the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors, 45-37, in UAAP Season 87 men's basketball on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Matt Erolon and AJ Fransman led the attack for the Soaring Falcons with 14 points apiece.

Adamson held the Red Warriors to just five points in the final period, while dropping 12 to secure the much-needed victory.

The Soaring Falcons ended a five-game slide while keeping their Final Four bid alive. The San Marcelino-based squad climbed to the fifth spot in the team standings with a 4-7 win-loss record.

UE remained at third place even after suffering its fourth setback in 10 outings.

Cedrick Manzano had a double double performance for Adamson with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Precious Momowei was the lone player who tallied in double figures for the Red Warriors with 12 markers along with 17 boards.

The Soaring Falcons will next tackle the National University Bulldogs on Nov. 10 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, while UE battles the Far Eastern University Tamaraws on Nov. 3 at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion in Manila.
