Motorcycle license plates backlog at 10.4M — LTO
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 26) — The Land Transporation Office (LTO) said Friday it has a backlog of 10.4 million motorcycle license plates, but assured the public the supply is enough as 30,000 such plates are produced every day.
“Sa motor vehicle, the four-wheeled vehicle, wala na tayong backlog diyan. We are able to cater to the current usage,” LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II told reporters. “Dito tayo sa motorcycle that would have 10.4 million backlog.”

LTO earlier said the bulk of the backlog are for the replacement of old green license plates.
During a budget hearing of the Transportation Department, LTO said it would clear the backlog for motorcycle license plates by 2025.
Motorists may claim their license plate at LTO offices free of charge.
