Dennis Trillo reflects on first MMFF award

Metro Manila, Philippines - Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo shared a memorable moment by posting a photo when he won Best Supporting Actor at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) for the 2004 movie, “Aishite Imasu 1941: Mahal Kita.”

The film was directed by Joel Lamangan and written by Ricky Lee.

“My very first movie, my very first award,” Trillo wrote.

The film is a romantic war drama during the Japanese occupation. Trillo portrayed a transgender woman who becomes a guerilla spy investigating Japanese forces.

Trillo posted the picture after he won Best Actor at the MMFF 2024 for his effective portrayal in the Zig Dulay film, “Green Bones.”

‘Green Bones’ bagged major awards, namely, Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and Best Child Performer.
