‘Hello, Love, Again’ breaches P1-billion mark, now the highest grossing Filipino film
Metro Manila, Philippines — The sequel to the 2019 blockbuster hit ‘Hello, Love Goodbye’ has set a new record after surpassing the P1 billion mark in box office sales, making it the highest grossing Filipino film of all time.
ABS-CBN Films said ‘Hello, Love, Again’ earned P1.06 billion worldwide on Nov. 23, Saturday, less than two weeks after its premiere.
The film starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards surpassed the P924 million record of ‘Rewind’ led by Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes in 2023.
‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ used to be the highest grossing local movie for three years from 2019 to 2022.
In an Instagram post, Richards thanked fans and moviegoers for their overwhelming support on the film.
“Thank you for making this happen. We are truly grateful beyond words,” he wrote.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, the film also made waves abroad after it entered the top 10 of US box office sales.
ABS-CBN earlier announced portions of the movie sales will go to the victims of typhoon Pepito.
The sequel premiered in local cinemas on Nov. 13, with international screenings in Australia, Canada, and London, among others.
