Metro Manila, Philippines — Seventy-six more overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and two dependents fleeing war-torn Lebanon are back in the country, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said.

The OFWs were on board an Emirates flight that arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Sunday night. They were provided with medical and psychological first aid.

Each worker received a total cash aid of P170,000.

The government has brought home a total of 636 OFWs and 32 dependents since tensions between Israel and militant group Hezbollah in the southern border began in October last year.

Overseas Filipinos number 11,000 in Lebanon, which is under Alert Level 3 or voluntary repatriation.
